The location of Djupavik stole my heart. The drive to get there took about 44 km on a winding gravel road, but reaching this remote paradise felt worth every bump. I stayed in a Standard Double Room, Lækjarkot, with windows that overlooked the beautiful sea. The decor felt nostalgic, filled with artifacts that each had a story. Dinner was a highlight. The lamb exceeded my expectations. I also enjoyed the homemade soup and freshly baked bread for lunch. I encountered some issues. The towels were noticeably stiff and carried an unpleasant odor. The breakfast lacked hot items, which I hoped for. Room size was on the small side, and the shared bathroom setup wasn't the most convenient. Still, the charm of the place and the engaging history provided during the herring factory tour made up for these inconveniences. The friendly staff enhanced my dining experience. Exploring the shoreline at low tide was rewarding too.

the location was stunning and unique, just off a beautiful area of the westfjords, the nearby waterfall and the next fjord in a summer house. there were fine beds and central heating and a work desk inside the room.

I stayed here with a group of friends and it was fantastic! The location is fine and close to the fjord. We loved exploring the old herring factory as part of a guided tour, super informative. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Definitely worth a visit!
Unfortunately, we couldn't do a guided tour of the herring factory because it was too late in the summer. It was a bummer since I heard great things about it.

What a very lovely stay, nothing to complain about. Newly renovated venue with wonderful location just next door to a fade away factory and restaurant and an excellent hike and satisfactory breakfast. Amazing views of the sea and waterfall from reasonably large and modest rooms. The downstairs bar onsite...

The hotel's setting near the sea is magical, especially the cozy ambiance during dinner with locally sourced dishes.
The shared bathroom facilities feel a bit cramped and could use an upgrade to improve convenience .

The amazing coastal views were a dream come true! The dinner lamb was beyond amazing. A downside was the towels-they really need a refresh. Still, the cozy vibe made it all worthwhile 🌊

Old herring factory tour, historic building features, beautiful bay views
Towels were stiff and had an unpleasant odor!!! Room felt cramped, and the shared bathroom left much to be desired. Access roads were challenging. Could really use more thoughtful amenities!!!

The location is fine! The charming accommodations feel private and cozy, with a beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast was decent, but the highlight was definitely the water from the geothermal spring nearby. Exploring the area was magical, with a lovely waterfall right by the hotel and seals lounging nearby.

The remote setting offers amazing vistas. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, especially during dinner with fresh local fish that was a highlight for me. The towels were stiff and carry an undesirable odor, and I found the shared bathroom setup a bit inconvenient. The upper floor lounge could benefit from more comfortable seating options to enhance relaxation.
